Communication Systems

This theme in communication Systems is a core part of the field within cyber- and computer engineering. In the bachelor project students can work with different requirements in computer and communication systems such as reliability, energy optimization, time relevance and others.

The project can focus on developing a computer- and communication system (perhaps an IoT based system) that fulfills specific demands/requirements, analyze the requirements, discuss technologies and methods, design a system, argue for trade-offs in the system and evaluate the system.

The students can furthermore choose to bring in other topics from the education such as cyber security, and sustainability.

Computer Engineering and Security

The theme for the Bachelor project is cyber security generally within computer systems, networks, and architecture.

Students can work with analysis or mitigation strategies against cyber threats for a cyber- and computer system or parts of this. The project can develop, analyze and test a computer system in relation to cyber security but can also discuss same items conceptually.

The students can furthermore choose to bring in other topics from the education such as communication systems, and sustainability.

Computer Engineering and Sustainability

The theme for the bachelor project relates to sustainability relating to design, implementation and use of computer systems, network, and architecture.

The project can be about implementation of sustainable elements in cyber- and computer systems that also support sustainability (application or product-oriented development) or it can focus on how computer systems can be used in development of sustainable solutions (development oriented).

Students can also choose to work with central and complex problems relating to sustainability and cyber- and computer engineering and bring in other aspects from the education.

Students can furthermore include perspectives from communication systems and cyber security.

In order to be admitted to the guest/exchange courses in Cyber and Computer Engineering at Aalborg University, you need two full years of a relevant BSc education (120 ECTS) within Computer Engineering, Informatics or similar.

Applicants applying for exchange courses at Master's level at Aalborg University must submit results of an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge test with the below mentioned minimum scores.

Danish B level in English compares to:

• IELTS (academic test). 6.5 overall band score
• TOEFL (internet-based): Minimum score: 85
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE): 180 / level C1
• Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 180 / grade C
• ECPE: Passed test including certificate
