The course is a course from the first trimester of the Master of Cyber Security and Privacy.
In this course, we will work with the following topics:
- Complexities of privacy, and how to operationalise the legal frameworks
- IT systems and digital identity in a privacy context
- Privacy engineering – amongst others: privacy impact assessments and other tools
- Data protection and privacy enhancing technologies (not about Tor but an overall talk about different potential, existing and future applications)
- Easy to say but hard to operationalise – about privacy ethics and the bigger picture.
Outcome of the course
- Knowledge about basic concepts about data protection and privacy
- You will become a professional in cyber security and privacy based on the highest level of international research
- Competences to identify privacy challenges on IT systems
