Go to the application portal and find the education type ‘Study change/Transfer – Bachelor’s Programs/Master’s Programs’. Then find the programme you wish to change to.

If you cannot find the programme, it is not possible to apply for change of study to the programme at this time.

When you apply, you must upload the following:

• A transcript with all exam attempts (transcript RA052U). Ask your study office for this transcript (if you are not an AAU student).
• Curriculum or course descriptions of all courses from your current education (if you are not an AAU student).
• Enrolment confirmation (if you are not an AAU student).
• Documentation of which courses you expect to pass before a possible study start. Name of courses, number of ECTS points, and exam period (if you are not an AAU student).
• Consent form that gives the Admissions Office at AAU permission to contact your current study programme if necessary for processing your application.
• High school diploma (if you are applying for a bachelor’s programme).
• Documentation of language requirements, e.g., English test or high school diploma (if you are applying for a bachelor’s programme or a master’s programme)
• Bachelor’s degree certificate (if you are applying for a master’s programme).

• The application deadline is 1 March for programmes starting in August/September.
• The application deadline is 15 October for programmes starting in February.

When you have applied via the application system, the following will be considered:

• Whether you meet the current admission requirements for the programme.
• Whether you have passed the equivalent to the first year of study in the programme you wish to change to.
• Whether there are available study places at the relevant level of study.

If the above requirements are met, you can change to the programme. The Study Board will then decide whether you can receive credit transfer for more than the first year of study and prepare an individual study plan for you.

Responses to applications for change of study are given on an ongoing basis and, in some cases, shortly before the beginning of the semester.

If you wish to change within the very first days, you need to re-apply in the second application round via an application found on our website for Bachelor’s programmes or via the application portal for Master’s programmes.

You must meet the entry requirements for the specific programme.

If no vacant places are available, you will not be able to change.

Applicants for vacant places apply on equal terms. We do not give priority to students previously or currently enrolled in a program at Aalborg university.
