For partner universities (exchange)

Want us to make a presentation?
We would be most happy to present AAU for your students to highlight what to expect if choosing AAU for an exchange. Please send us an email to arrange further. If you or your students have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Converting the assessment "pass/no-pass"
For most of the examinations at AAU, the applied grading scale is the 7-point grading scale. But for some examinations, the applied grading scale is “Passed/Not passed”. AAU can't convert from pass/no-pass to numerical grades.
Thus, we urge our partner universities to convert a "passed" into a middle grade, e.g. 4 on the 7-point scale.

Information for external partners regarding Digital Diplomas
Diplomas from AAU are digitally issued and send as Digital Post. Foreign students who do not have access to Digital Post will receive the diploma in their AAU-student mail. The digital diploma is not supplemented by a diploma in physical format, but a copy can be downloaded by the student and sent to a potential employer.
A diploma from AAU contains the following documents:
- A frontpage
- A Danish and an English version of the diploma
- Diploma supplement (Diploma supplement contains a description of the degree programme completed by the student, including content, scope, level and professional qualifications. The diploma supplement also contains a description of Aalborg University and the Danish educational system).
If a graduate is required to use a verified copy of their diploma e.g., in a job search situation, the graduate can make a request for this. A copy of the diploma will be stamped and signed by an administrative officer.
AAU often receive requests from external verification agencies and/or future employers regarding former student’s education. The disclosure of this information requires a signed consent from the student concerned.
Requests for this information can be sent to studiedata@adm.aau.dk.
Please note! That the Study Data team are not able to answer questions regarding specific programme content. Instead, we refer to the Study Boards, see a list of Study Boards, eller or the curriculums at www.studieordninger.aau.dk.
