Create your own alumni portrait
Brand yourself, your education, and AAU with a portrait
The portraits are part of the university's identity and heritage, and your contribution helps to show a sense of pride and loyalty. To create your own portrait, you must have completed your education, be registered with an active profile in AAU Alumni and at least receive alumni news.
How to get started
- 1
Choose a portrait questionnaire
At the bottom of the page, you will find three different questionnaires. Please choose the one best suited for your situation. If you want to answer the questionnaire in Danish visit our Danish site here.
- 2
Take your time and remember to elaborate your answers.
It is important to provide detailed answers to all the questions in the questionnaire. This is to ensure that your portrait is more engaging and more personal to read.
We reserve the right to not publish incomplete or highly simplified answers. - 3
Remember to look through the "AAU-tinted glasses"
The portrait is sent for review by your former programme and must be based on your time at AAU and the skills you have acquired.
- 4
Send us your best pictures
Please provide a minimum of two pictures. They can be portraits, pictures from your work or memorable moments frem your student days. The pictures must be sent to alumni@aau.dk and need to be at least 800 pixels in width and preferably in a horizontal format.
If we have not received suitable pictures, your portrait remains unpublished.
Publishing your portrait
As a starting point, your text will typically be published as you have written it. However, we reserve the right not to publish incomplete/unfinished answers. AAU Alumni proofreads and prepares a cover. When your portrait is published, you will receive a message with a link.
When you are part of AAU Alumni's portrait series, you accept that your portrait is published on AAU Alumni's website. The portrait can also be shared on AAU Alumni's profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook and through the network's newsletters. Your portrait or parts of it can also be used by AAU and your previous studio. In some cases, we will translate your answer (DA-EN/EN-DA).
Finally, remember to invite other alumni with interesting careers to create a portrait with us.
You are welcome to contact AAU Alumni if you have corrections or questions about completing the portrait questions.
