Masterplan for PBL Digital 2024-2026

In 2024, a number of efforts will be initiated to strengthen digitally supported PBL in the field of education. The efforts stem from a comprehensive study of digitization in the field of education at AAU, where teachers and students have pointed out challenges and needs. The efforts are mainly focused on a technical and organizational upgrade of AAU's learning support systems.

The efforts are gathered in a digitization master plan for the education area in the years 2024-2026, and have been drawn up with the involvement of the senior education management and heads of studies across AAU and adopted by AAU's Digitization Committee.

AAU base systems
Central systems are selected that can cover students and teachers basic needs for digital support of study activities, and which are common to all educational environments at AAU.


Education course for AAU's student management
Education course on the interaction between technologies, organizational learning and pedagogical development at AAU.

Initiatives in theme 2

GOOD DIGITAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Support for AAU base systems
Establishing a single entry point for help for the AAU base systems to optimize technical and IT didactic help and support.
Support the use of AAU base systems
Educators and study secretaries are onboarded in good practice for the use of AAU base systems.
Overview of the system landscape
An overview of AAU's systems is prepared. The overview must include the AAU base systems as well as systems for academically oriented study activities.

A sold foundation
Governance for AAU base systems
Establishment of governance that ensures ongoing technical and organizational development, operation and maintenance of AAU base systems.
Requirements specification for AAU base systems
A requirement specification is drawn up for the development of AAU base systems based on the user's needs.
Technical development of AAU base systems
AAU base systems is developed technically on the basis of requirements specification.

Pilotes: AI for education
PBL Digital support pilots and experiments with AI for education.
AI-LAB
AI-LAB is a new GPU cluster for students and teachers, so they can work with training and finetuning of models.
