Important practical information about the University Party
Friday 4 April 2025, 17:00–01:30.
Aalborg Congress & Culture Centre, Europa Plads 4, 9000 Aalborg – please use the main entrance, where your ticket will be scanned.
DKK 275 per person, including dinner, 1 drink ticket, 1 glass of wine served with the meal, and cloakroom service. Drink tickets are handed out at the entrance. Additional beverages are at your own expense.
Ticket sales begin on 3 March. Before that, you’ll receive an invitation via your AAU email (end of February).
The invitation to the University Party is sent out as a personal email to students and staff. Shortly after, ticket sales open. Tickets are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. No entry without a ticket.

If you’re arriving by car, we recommend using the parking areas at Aalborg Congress & Culture Centre.
There are over 700 parking spaces available around the Aalborg Congress & Culture Centre. Access is via Vesterbro.
- Ticket machines are located near the parking areas and inside the parking garage.
- Accessible parking is available near the main entrance to Scandic Aalborg City.
Staff and students from the Copenhagen and Esbjerg campuses can take advantage of free bus transport to and from the party in Aalborg.
If you’ve signed up for bus transport from Esbjerg or Copenhagen, you’ll receive an email with further details.

Free of charge – located in Fundamentet, which you’ll find by going down the stairs in the main hall. There will be a bar and music from 17:00 until the doors to the banquet hall open.
You’ll also find an overview of the seating plan in Fundamentet.

Starter
- On the tables, there will be individual starter portions.
- Freshly baked focaccia with olives, tomato, and herbs served with olive oil
Buffet in the foyer
- Lightly smoked salmon from the in-house smoker, served with marinated cucumber and fresh radishes
- Fish 'n' chips with crushed potatoes, peas, and dill
- Sweet tomatoes and fresh cucumbers marinated with sesame, soy, and coriander
- “Burnt” young carrots and celery served with lemon confit and garden cress
- Hummus with cumin served with falafel, pickled onions, and salads
- Pasta salad with vegan bacon, aioli, raw-marinated broccoli, and roasted red pepper
- Chicken breast with creamy chicken jus, served on crispy vegetables with parsley
- Slow-roasted beef served with pickled lingonberries and shallots
- Roasted potatoes tossed with parsley and sea salt
- Creamy Bordelaise with pickled mushrooms, shallots, and smoked bone marrow
- Crème fraîche dressing with fresh herbs and mild aioli
- Creamy risotto with roasted mushrooms, crispy vegetables, and fresh herbs
- Gluten-free bread and lactose-free butter
Dessert buffet in the foyer
- French brie served with marinated berries, broken gel, mint, and nuts
- Marinated rhubarb with vanilla, white chocolate cream, and raspberries
- Chocolate mousse topped with passionfruit cream and crystallised chocolate
There will be digital signs at the buffet with information about which dishes contain gluten or lactose, or are vegetarian/vegan – all signs will be in English!
Beverages
- 1 glass of wine will be served at the table. Drink tickets can be exchanged at the bars for beer, wine, a shot, coffee or tea.
Late-night snack
- From 23:30, you can buy a hot dog in the main hall for DKK 35, or a hot dog with a soft drink/juice/Cocio for DKK 55.
Borrow card games or dice in the main hall after dinner.
In the main hall, you’ll find the Photo Camper – the perfect place to snap that special party selfie for your fridge at home.
Tag your own photos with #AAUfest to enter the competition for a bottle of spirits and six soft drinks.
Three winners will be announced on AAU’s Instagram "aalborguni" at 22:30.
Smoking is only permitted by the main entrance or on the terrace facing Kildeparken. Remember to bring your ticket when leaving the building, so you can re-enter.
