Upon completion of this module, participants will:

• Grasp the basic elements and structure of a decision support system.
• Relate diverse methods for the knowledge base of a decision support system.
• Apply methods for visualizing a clinical decision problem.
• Apply knowledge-based methods for decision support, including rule-based, decision theory-based, and model-based approaches.
• Apply methods for decision support system inference engines, such as forward/backward chaining, fuzzy inference, basic numerical optimization, and probabilistic inference.
• Design, implement, and evaluate a simple decision support system in a clinical context.

This course is from the third semester of Master of Digital Health and will not be available until the fall of 2025.

Apart from the tuition fee, other expenses should be anticipated for books, software, travel expenses and accommodation during seminars.

To be admitted, you must possess a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Technology, Data Science or related fields (or equivalent qualifications). Additionally, a minimum of two years of pertinent work experience in the industry is required.

Exemption from Admission Requirements
Aalborg University may consider applicants without a relevant bachelor's degree on a case-by-case basis, provided they demonstrate academic qualifications equivalent to a relevant bachelor program.

However, the requirement for relevant professional experience remains non-negotiable.
